Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Designed for patients who require the highest level of inpatient care and crisis stabilization, our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides short-term stabilization for patients who are experiencing an acute crisis. Staffing is higher on this unit at our adult inpatient psychiatric facility to help ensure that each patient has immediate access to care when they need it most.
In a mental health crisis, adult acute psychiatric care can help you or your loved one stabilize so that we can work with you on next steps. We will develop a treatment plan and make recommendations on what comes after — usually a stay in an adult inpatient treatment program.
